Troy was born and raised in Ogden, Utah. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Weber State University and his Juris Doctor from the University of Houston where he served as an editor on the Houston Journal of International Law.
Troy began his career at Utah Legal Services in 2002 advocating against domestic violence and representing clients in divorce, custody, and evictions. It was during these initial stages of practicing law that he gained a passion for family law. He continued to represent clients in their domestic matters and eventually chose to focus exclusively on family law in 2012. His extensive experience and skillset in domestic matters gives him the ability to fight for the best outcome for his clients. Troy truly enjoys interacting with his clients to understand their concerns, advise them on their options, educate them on the law, and develop a case plan designed to achieve results. He strives to practice with empathy, diligence, and integrity.
Troy has a passion for music of many genres and enjoys attending concerts, hiking, and traveling. He is married to the love of his life. They have two sons and one daughter.
